Iowa State's personnel reduction plan received final approval this week.  73 positions will be either eliminated or reduced due to university's FY10 budget allocations.

Position elimination/reductions by classification:

• Contract Covered Merit staff ~ 35 of 1,500¹ (2.3%)
• Supervisory and Confidential staff ~ 3 of 150² (2%)
• Professional and Scientific staff ~ 19 of 2,500² (0.76%)
• Extension staff ~ 16 (total count/% not available)
• Faculty ~ no mention of any cuts; earlier announcement of "94 new faculty"³
