ISU Announces Final Approval of FY10 Position Elimination Plan

Iowa State's personnel reduction plan received final approval this week.  73 positions will be either eliminated or reduced due to university's FY10 budget allocations.

Position elimination/reductions by classification:
  • Contract Covered Merit staff ~ 35 of 1,5001 (2.3%)
  • Supervisory and Confidential staff ~ 3 of 1502 (2%)
  • Professional and Scientific staff ~ 19 of 2,5002 (0.76%)
  • Extension staff ~ 16 (total count/% not available)
  • Faculty ~ no mention of any cuts; earlier announcement of "94 new faculty"3
